How to differentiate Caecal volvolus from sigmoid volvolus on x ray ?

sigmoid volvolus more common than caecal volvolus (4:1 ) 

sigmoid more common in males than females viceversa in females 

This is because of dolichomesocolic anatomy ( Mesentry is longer than wide ) which is seen in males 
hence sigmoid volvolus is more common in males 

Caecal volvolus - X ray findings - 50% previous abdominal surgery
                                                     - coffe bean appearence
                                                    - 1 air fluid level
                                                    - Directed towards left upper quadrant
                                                     - 50 % Distended small bowel

Sigmoid volvolus X ray finding - Bent inner tube appearence
                                                   - directed towards rt upper quadrant
                                                   - 2 air fluid levels
                                                   - fluid levels are at different horizontal levels
